First Baptist Knoxville is committed to offering mission and ministry opportunities that allow every age group to learn, grow, and go in the name of Christ. Specific pages on this website define our ministry opportunities for preschoolers, children, youth, young adults, and senior adults. These life-stage ministries are designed to connect individuals at defining moments of their lives and empower their walk of faith. We are equally dedicated to providing long- and short-term Bible studies and hands-on mission opportunities in which adults can learn and grow in their faith and go out in service with purpose.
We invite you to look at the Small Group Finder on the Community page to find a small group that might be a good fit for you. You are free to try more than one to find the place where you believe you can best invest yourself and discover with others all that God intends for you.
We also offer regular topic-driven retreats and special events designed to address areas of interest or needs in your life. Examples include an annual marriage retreat, a Biblical leadership seminar series, and grief-share classes. To help us better understand and walk beside those just getting by in our community, we offer Bridges Out of Poverty classes. We anticipate offering an even wider array of retreats, seminars, and classes in the days ahead.
We also invite you to look at the Mission page to discover opportunities where your unique gifts and skills might be used for Kingdom impact.
If you have questions or would like more information on a specific small-group or mission opportunity, contact our pastor, Tom Ogburn.
