Youth Ministry @ 1B is a ministry of First Baptist Church Knoxville for sixth-twelfth grade students and their families. We are a group of students and invested adults from across Knoxville coming together to become better followers of Jesus. We do this by being a true community that cares for one another, worships together, and sincerely lives out our faith so that we're known by our love in Knoxville and around the world. If you're a Middle School or High School student, I invite you to come be a part of our community and join us on this journey. Weekly Schedule

Square One
Sunday, 9:45-10:45am
Youth Suite

Square One is about getting back the basics of understanding the story God is weaving and your place in it. We believe the Bible is the story of God's relationship with humanity throughout history and that by encountering the story first hand you will more clearly see your own place in God's big story. Each week we start in our large group where we worship together, led by our Youth Worship team, and have a time of teaching. Then you'll spend time in small groups with students from your grade and adult leaders, where you'll have open, honest discussion about faith, life and your place in God's story.

High School Bible Study
Sunday, 6:45-8 pm
Youth Suite

High School Bible Study is our weekly gathering for ninth-twelfth grade students who want to dig deeper into what it means to follow Jesus. We share a meal together and look more deeply at how Jesus calls us to live. Because we don't want to just be a group that sits around and talks about our faith, we work to find ways to live out our faith together, here and now, so we may truly be a group of people known by our love.

Middle School Mid-Week
Wednesday, 6-7 pm
Youth Suite

Middle School Mid-Week is our weekly gathering for sixth-eighth graders. It is a time in the middle of your week to come together with other Middle Schoolers to have fun, worship, and discover what being a Jesus-follower looks like in the craziness of your Middle School life.

Retreat, Camps, & Special Events

Beyond our regular weekly schedule there are many other opportunities for you to connect with Youth Ministry @ 1B. We have a year-round schedule of retreats, camps, and other special events, including an high school international mission trip every two years.
